What this approach translates to in real life is a wide assortment of sizes, functions, and styles while ensuring each iteration maintains fundamental Chronomat design details such as bezel rider tabs, prominent onion-style crowns, wearable round cases, and easy-to-read baton indices and handsets. While some versions lean into the collection’s tool-watch roots, others push the design toward a more expressive, luxurious aesthetic. The touch of precious metals I mentioned before is found right here on the bezel, which is crafted from 18k white gold rather than the stainless steel used for the rest of the case.

This South Sea model is a fun, colorful take on the Chronomat formula, offering a mix of sportiness and playfulness within a well-sized case. It’s not a watch for minimalists, but for those who like a bit of color, some subtle sparkle, and a bold yet versatile look, it’s a compelling option.
